The modest beginning - Der bescheidene Anfang

In my last blog post, I wrote you how it all came about that I started to paint. And now it finally starts and I show you from today everything that I have achieved.

At Christmas I got all the nice things to paint and then after Christmas when I finally had time to start, I stood in front of my beautiful, brand new easel and did not dare to "spot" the beautiful, white, clean canvas. It was an act to overcome and just start painting. The last time I painted at school was over 30 years ago. But WHAT should I paint ?? I can not do that with humans and animals, so it has to be abstract! I did not have a plan, design idea, or any other idea. Oh .. I'll try it with flowers!

So I grabbed one of my many brushes and painted one flower after the other until the canvas was full. That is how this painting was created!

And so my artistic journey continues...

In meinem letzten Blogpost habe ich euch geschrieben wie es überhaupt dazu kam, dass ich angefangen habe zu malen. Und nun geht es endlich los und ich zeige euch ab heute alles was ich so zustande gebracht habe.

An Weihnachten bekam ich all die schönen Sachen zum Malen und dann nach Weihnachten als ich endlich Zeit hatte und anfangen wollte, stand ich da vor meiner schönen, nagelneuen Staffelei und traute mich nicht die schöne, weiße, saubere Leinwand zu "beschmutzen". Das war schon ein Akt, sich zu überwinden und einfach drauf los zu malen. Das letzte Mal habe ich in der Schulzeit gemalt und das ist über 30 Jahre her. Aber WAS soll ich überhaupt malen?? Menschen und Tiere kann ich sowas von NICHT, also muss es abstrakt sein! Ich hatte keinen Plan, keinen Entwurf, keine richtige Idee oder eine genaue Vorstellung. Ach.. ich versuch´s mal mit Blumen! 

Also griff ich zu einem von meinen vielen Pinseln und malte ein Blümchen nach dem anderen bis die Leinwand voll war. so entstand dieses Gemälde!


Und so geht meine künstlerische Reise  weiter...

The closer you get to the picture, the more beautiful and interesting it is. Any small area could be enlarged than a really great painting. I could take 1000 shots of them and each one is more beautiful than the other. Das hier ist so ein Beispiel einer Malrichtung, die mir sehr gut gefällt und die mir auch ziemlich gut gelingt. Je näher man dem Bild kommt, desto schöner und interessanter ist es. Jeder kleine Bereich könnte vergrößert als ein ganz tolles Gemälde sein.  Ich könnte 1000 Detailaufnahmen davon machen und jedes davon ist schöner als das andere.

.....::::: MAKING ART FOR MYSELF :::::.....

  E - It's strange to write here knowing well that no one will read it. Ok, then it will just be my diary. When I started getting involved in art (I mean creating it myself) it came out of a very banal necessity. We had just moved in a new apartment, the apartment was huge, the huge white walls were bare. I wanted to make it nice and cozy, chic and interesting, but how do I get there? Of course there is a lot of beautiful, affordable art out there, but as I was browsing through the internet and looking at many paintings I thought... what? I can do THAT too! I know sounds familiar to you. Everyone thinks they can make art and then never does. Either some people even try, but see it is not as easy as it looks. Or you have the plan to start painting and then don't do it. Ok, I actually started. I bought canvases, brushes, paint and just got started. I didn't want to create works of art for the outside world at that time. No, I just needed something nice to decorate our new ap

Acrylic and water good and bad idea ----- Acrylfarben und Wasser eine gute und eine schlechte Idee

Since acrylic paints are water-soluble, unlike oil paints, this can be a curse or even a blessing. I am very, very glad that when painting with acrylic paints with water I have endless possibilities to experiment with it. On the one hand I can dilute the paint, the brushes and all painting utensils can be washed out with water (but you should not wait too long, because then it will be much harder depending on the surface or at some point impossible to wash out the color). In this picture, I have painted some of them with crayons and therefore I was able to spray the picture with water and make these great shots. It's just such a pity that the picture does not stay in this state and the drops have eventually disappeared. But ... we still have the photography! Da Acrylfarben wasserlöslich sind, im Gegensatz zu Ölfarben kann dies ein Fluch oder auch ein Segen sein. Ich bin sehr, sehr froh, dass ich beim Malen mit Acrylfarben mit Wasser unendlich viele Möglichkeiten habe, um dam
