Acrylic with mixed media 29,7 x 42 cm Acryl mit verschiedenen Media auf Papier 29,7 x 42 cm When I started painting a few months ago, I thought I needed to paint beautiful flowers, landscapes, animals, but soon I realized ... my talent is not on any of these topics. My talent is more in intuitive and abstract painting. Like this painting. I also think there are enough artists out there who can paint flowers, sunsets and animals so much better than me. Als ich vor ein paar Monaten mit dem Malen angefangen habe, dachte ich, dass ich schöne Blumen, Landschaften und Tiere malen muss, aber bald wurde mir klar, dass mein Talent bei keinem dieser Themen liegt. Mein Talent liegt mehr in der intuitiven und abstrakten Malerei. Wie dieses Gemälde. Ich denke auch, dass es genug Künstler gibt, die Blumen, Sonnenuntergänge und Tiere so viel besser malen können als ich.

I do not know why, it's probably just a matter of feeling, but the combination of black and yellow has never been my favorite combination. But when I paint I do not always want to think too much and prefer to be guided by the moment .. the result! I am just not sure if I will leave it that way or if it will eventually serve me just as a background / underground. Ich weiß nicht warum, ist wohl so eine reine Gefühlssache, aber die Kombinatio von schwarz/gelb war noch nie meine Lieblingskombination. Doch wenn ich male möchte ich nicht immer zu viel nachdenken und mich lieber vom Augenblick leiten lassen..  das Ergebnis! Ich bin mir nur noch nicht sicher, ob ich es so belassen werde oder ob es mir irgendwann einfach nur als Hinter-/Untergrund dienen wird. 

Since acrylic paints are water-soluble, unlike oil paints, this can be a curse or even a blessing. I am very, very glad that when painting with acrylic paints with water I have endless possibilities to experiment with it. On the one hand I can dilute the paint, the brushes and all painting utensils can be washed out with water (but you should not wait too long, because then it will be much harder depending on the surface or at some point impossible to wash out the color). In this picture, I have painted some of them with crayons and therefore I was able to spray the picture with water and make these great shots. It's just such a pity that the picture does not stay in this state and the drops have eventually disappeared. But ... we still have the photography! I started with wooden pencils, pencil and I continued with crayons, acrylic paints and finally I poured candle wax on them.  I wish I could have produced several pictures from the different stages of the painting process, but unfortunately I could only go one way. Unfortunately, the candle wax drops fall off. I should frame it as quickly as possible to preserve it, so that the drops are preserved behind glass. Dieses Bild entstand einfach nur aus Lust zu malen ohne einer konkreten Idee dahinter. Angefangen habe ich mit Holzbuntstiften, Bleistift und fortgesetzt habe ich mit Wachsmalstiften, Acrylfarben und zum Schluss habe ich Kerzenwachs darauf geträufelt.  Ich wünschte mir, ich hätte aus den verschiedenen Stadien des Malvorgangs mehrere Bilder produz...

I've seen so many artists - and this is a very common procedure - that they work on a lot of artworks at the same time. There are many reasons for that. The most common reason is that the paint is still wet and before you can continue painting, the surface must be well dry. And then there's the reason that at the time you're not so sure where it's going to lead you and you put it aside to get some inspiration before you go on with it. This is such a work of art and it is reason 2. I'm waiting. Ich habe schon bei sehr vielen Künstlern gesehen - und das ist ein sehr übliches Prozedere - dass sie an sehr vielen Kunstwerken gleichzeitig arbeiten. Dafür gibt es viele Gründe. Der üblichste Grund ist, dass die Farbe noch feucht ist und bevor man weitermalen kann, der Untergrund gut trocken sein muss. Und dann ist da noch der Grund, dass man zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht so sicher ist, wohin es einen führen soll und man es zur Seite legt, um sich erstmal inspirieren z...

No unfortunately it is not that easy in practice. First, you should note that different colors that are still wet and you mix them, just give a brown. You do not want that (in cases of 99%)! Then there should be some "balance" - of what kind of balance I mean? You look at it and it feels "round". Wenn man sich so ein sehr buntes Bild anschaut könnte man denken, ach, nur wild Farbe auf das Bild bringen und schon ist es fertig! Nein leider so einfach ist das in der Praxis nicht. Erstmal sollte man beachten, dass verschiedene Farben, die noch feucht sind und sich vermischen, einfach nur ein Braun ergeben. Das will man (zu 99 %) nicht! Dann sollte irgendeine "Balance" gegeben sein, welche Art von Balance ich meine? Man schaut es sich an und es fühlt sich ...
